Here’s an un-boring way to invest that billionaires have quietly leveraged for decades
If you have enough money that you think about buckets for your capital…
Ever invest in something you know will have low returns—just for the sake of diversifying?
CDs… Bonds… REITs… :(
Sure, these “boring” investments have some merits. But you probably overlooked one historically exclusive asset class:
It’s been famously leveraged by billionaires like Bezos and Gates, but just never been widely accessible until now.
It outpaced the S&P 500 (!) overall WITH low correlation to stocks, 1995 to 2025.*
It’s not private equity or real estate. Surprisingly, it’s postwar and contemporary art.
And since 2019, over 70,000 people have started investing in SHARES of artworks featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso through a platform called Masterworks.
23 exits to date
$1,245,000,000+ invested
Annualized net returns like 17.6%, 17.8%, and 21.5%

🏠 Inventory Up, Rates Down—But Affordability Still Tight
🌊 House of the Week: Lakefront Corner Unit with Skyline Views
🚆 Transit-Oriented Housing Reshapes Cleveland’s Woodhill Corridor
📰 Cleveland Market Minute

Woodhill Homes moves hundreds of units closer to transit
Rapid transit has been the backbone of the Woodhill corridor for more than a century. In 1905, Luna Park opened at the corner of Woodhill Rd and Woodland Ave as a “trolley park”—an amusement park accessible to visitors by streetcar—and operated until 1931, when it was demolished.
Later that decade, the Woodhill Homes public housing project was constructed by the Works Progress Administration to replace the city’s outdated housing stock with modern and affordable homes.
Historic mansion serves its last
A nursing home complex is proposed for a major expansion but requires the demolition of two historic homes, including a 19th-century mansion designed by a famous local architect.
That development is the expansion of the 30-year-old Gardens of Fairfax Healthcare Center, 9014 Cedar Ave. in Cleveland’s Fairfax neighborhood. Foundations Health operates nearly 60 nursing homes in Ohio, making it the state’s largest nursing home provider.
Camelot Bakery OK’d for city’s West Side
Joseph Starr and Rebekah Piper, founders and co-owners of Camelot Bakery, rented a tiny, 1,360-square-foot building at 10401 for their business for 10 years.
But now a dozen employees must work in shifts making jumbo pretzels for area hotels, restaurants, coffee shops and the Cleveland Metroparks. Business has grown so much that they are planning a two-phase, 9,976-square-foot expansion next door, according to plans submitted to the city.
